Fall 2017

I was turning onto East Church Street to go to my home and I passed the property on the corner of East Church Street and North Salisbury Boulevard; the intersection which is close to the intersection of Route 13 & 50 business. Jesus told me in my spirit to pull over and “pray for that building.”  I didn’t know what to pray for so I asked.  As I circled (walked & prayed) the building, He instructed me to pray against the porn shop (sex store, adult book store, whatever you prefer) that was attached to the front of the building, then pray for the people living in it, for the building to become a blessing for them, and – I added – that the building be used to glorify Him to the community behind it as I circled the building the number of times He instructed me to.  I found this occurrence very interesting, enough to immediately tell my wife and two other people (one being a pastor partner of mine).  A number of months later the front of the building, the porn shop, was torn down. I never thought a thing about it, but a couple months after that I was at the stop light at that intersection and Jesus urged me to “look at that building.” As I did he said “Look.  The porn shop is gone.  You prayed against that” as He dropped the story of Jericho in my mind…I was overwhelmed. About a week or so ago a painter started painting a mural of significant black people on the Salisbury Boulevard front of this building.  I asked Jesus Why would you allow them to tear down the porn shop just to allow the veneration of human beings to go up in its place?”  He answered with one word, “Hope.”  I do not know the mind of God and I am not smart, but I began to understand how God could use an image of hope in the place of a porn shop to open hearts to him.  The story is still incomplete. The thrift shop that was on the bottom floor of the building is even gone, leaving that space available for lease.  Long story short, Jesus destroyed a building that promoted lust & perversion and replaced it with an image of hope!  Isn’t that amazing?   

October 2019

One night around two years ago Jesus told me to pull over my car and pray against and over a property that had a pornography store, apartments, and a thrift store on it at the corner of E. Church Street and N. Salisbury Boulevard.  He led me to pray against the adult sex shop, it came down a year later, Amen?  He also led me to pray for the people living in the building (apartments) and for the building to be a blessing to them.  Then I added for the building to be used to glorify God to the community behind it (Church Street Community).  The thrift store has left the building and I found out that the space is now going to be an (CLICK HERE) M4 Reactor space.  M4 Reactor is a (CLICK HERE) makerspace based company which encourages discovering new technologies, learning and collaborating them with others to convert them into actual projects.  Their mission is contained herein, so click the highlighted links above and learn about this company and why I find this remarkable as it relates to this story. This is amazing to me!  The front of the building has also been converted into a mural to initiate “hope” to the community behind it.  Jesus commanded a “Jericho” type prayer to begin the transformation of probably the worst community in Salisbury Md.

February 2020

Today I was driving by the mural on the corner of Church Street and Route 13 business.  Jesus said “bless it,” so I pulled over to pray over it; after all it is complete, the city had a secular ceremony to recognize it, but there had never been a “blessing” to compliment what Jesus has done on that property.  When I walked up I noticed a marker set to describe the mural.  The marker gives historic data, describes the characters depicted on the mural, and describes the progression of the decision making and building for the project.  I was amazed that the city didn’t purchase the property until the winter of 2018 and make a decision for the artwork of the mural until January of 2019 (I have attached a picture of the marker to cite these dates).  Jesus instructed me to pull over and pray over the property in the Fall of 2017.  I want to report this amazing event to you.  I don’t go to any city meetings, or have any contacts within any of the governing authorities in the city.  I have no interest in any of these things.  Jesus obviously has interest in this project and how it may affect the community behind it.  I find this project and how all these things transpired completely amazing!
