I cannot go to the gym and work out since this Covid 19 stuff.  My home work out regiment consists of any exercise I can do with two dumbbells, running, or biking.  If one eats as much ice cream and cookies as I do, one would find that NOT working out isn’t an option.  Complete and utter bodily devastation is inevitable; so, it’s a must with me.

Today (2020.05.03) I am riding my bike for some exercise and I ride past a homeless man who’s famous in my household.  All of my kids talk about him because of his stone-hard look.  They call him the “Jaw-Line Guy.”  I will refer to him as “JLG.”  JLG wouldn’t have a clue as to his popularity because he speaks to NO ONE!  He is always by himself.  When I noticed him, I immediately think, “I wonder if the homeless community has been affected by Covid 19?” because I have been unable to speak with anyone during this crisis.

I pull over, tell him I know who he is and ask him if I can speak to him.  He motions yes.  JLG is a very skinny guy, but 6’3″ tall and intimidating because he looks so mean.  I introduce myself as the guy who cooks the cheeseburgers and gets together with the others. He knows who I am by that description, so I take the opportunity to invite him to our gatherings.  He just stares at me, lol, so I get to the real reason I stop him.  I ask him if anyone in the homeless community has come down with the Corona Virus.  He emphatically says, “No.”  I ask him his real name, he answers, I say “Goodbye,” he doesn’t answer and I was on my way.

During the rest of my bike ride I am able to speak with Jesus about JLG’s answer.  My feelings on the Covid topic have gone from “The Big Shamboozle” to “Man, I don’t know!” and back again.  I think Covid 19 has a portion of it that is real and a portion that is mass hype, so I remain neutral because none of what I think really matters anyway.  Going back to and tying all these things to the message Jesus gave me over a month ago, Oil & Passover, I would like to give you what I believe Jesus tells me during the rest of my bicycle ride. Look, I don’t claim to be a prophet, but Jesus tells me stuff, alright?  You take it up with Him and search this matter out. In Oil & Passover, Jesus tells me to “Hunker,” but I don’t perceive this in a threatening way.  It’s more like “Get out of the way!”  Today, however, I realize He’s not saying to get out of the way of the Corona Virus, He is saying to get out of His way.  He makes me realize that He controls everything and can use anything to advance His plan in the world.  For those of you who are afraid, don’t live in fear.  He is protecting you.  The Lord is going to take care of His own while whatever this is, is going down.  He is using this time to “work.”  For those of you who like to protest in the name of the USA and our civil rights, be reminded that civil rights are handed down from a higher authority. Also He reminds me that the boundaries and borders of nations and people groups are set in times and epochs.  Christian, you are a citizen of the Kingdom of God first! Don’t involve yourself in social unrest.  Get out of the way!  I am reminded of Gamaliel’s council about Jesus.  His words were these, “If this is of men it will be overthrown; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it and you may find yourself fighting against God.”  Click the imbedded links and read it yourself.

I write this to you to edify you in a difficult and confusing time.  Jesus has got this.  Let Him do His work.  Over & out.
