Characterization

Gotham Steel is a tough girl from New York.  We met as a result of my “Fishing” on Facebook with Project Happenings.  She read Deliverance of a Gang Member’s Daughter and contacted me in regard to her own daughter.  She believes her daughter “may have a demon,” sometimes “controlled by something else” and thought “Maybe he can help me with my daughter.”  After our electronic communication and before our first conversation on the phone I asked Jesus about her.  He told me “Sins of the Father’s” and “Check her Salvation.”  When Jesus tells me “Sins of the father’s,” to me it means generational sins and genetic attachments.

I called her on the phone.  She told me a little about her daughter, but only surface stuff, so I asked her to explain to me her salvation experience.  This is paramount for her, before anything else can happen between her and her daughter.  She told me a story about her son dying and what I perceive as a philosophical understanding of what or who God is, but no empirical evidence with Jesus, the Savior!  As most of you know about me, I always challenge people’s salvation – because I don’t want anyone to go to hell under the false pretense that they’re saved.  It’s definitely worth the time.  I am looking for the receipt that bears witness to that which occurs as a result of the transaction between the one I am speaking to and Jesus…that receipt is the Holy Spirit!  No receipt, no transaction; you know what I mean?

We decided to meet in a public place, which is awkward during the era of Covid 19.  I questioned her salvation again and explained what the Bible describes as a true relationship with God through Jesus.  I asked if that’s what she understood she did.  She said “No, not like you put it.  I’ve never done that.”  So, she accepted Jesus in a dugout next to a little league baseball field.  After her salvation she told me that she had been “sprinkled” as a child in a Catholic Church and – more recently – baptized in a Baptist Church.  I asked her about the baptism and if they checked her salvation prior.  She said “No, they just asked if my daughter and I were saved.  I said yes, so they baptized both of us.”  Do any of you see a problem here?

After her salvation; two things:  (1) Jesus led me to ask this about Gotham Steel’s personality.  “Are you ‘bity’ towards people?  Do you have a “fighting spirit,” quick to lay into people, argumentative?”  She said “Yes.”  As I prayed for her, against this spirit I heard her exhale dramatically. This was confirmation to me that the spirit left.  (2) She then explained that her daughter hears other voices, has tried to commit suicide and experiences psychotic episodes.  I asked if there is a history with this on either side of the family. She said both (Generational – Jesus was right…of course!). I suggested a plan for her daughter.  We will check her salvation and then address the demons within her and the generational attachments in both; if they allow me to.

Jesus wants them both free.  If their free-will permits, that’s great; if not, Jesus will save them as they are – with demonic attachments – and separate the wheat from the tares at judgement.  Win – win!!!
