Have you ever wondered “What’s all the castle imagery in fairytale and Walt Disney lore?” Why are the characters always doing magic in every Walt Disney movie? What is the meaning behind castles and why do Disney movies always idolize princes and princesses as if they are selling a concept to our children? What have the rich, ruling class – and their bloodlines throughout history – been doing in those castles anyway?

I was waiting to get my soda behind a short young girl, either teenage or in her early twenties.  She was wearing a hoodie that said “Hogwarts” on the back.  I know what Hogwarts is, but when she turned around I asked her what it meant to her.  She responded in a low, shy tone, “It’s a school.  I asked if she went there.  She replied, “Yes.”  I said, “Is it the same Hogwarts as in the school of witchcraft?”  She said shyly, “Yes.”  So I bluntly asked, “So you’re a witch?”  Her eyes went back and fourth as she answered uncomfortably, in a low tone, “Yes.”

I was interested in engaging the topic and learning as much as I possibly could. I asked if the school was local. She answered, “No, it’s online.”  I asked her the instructors name. She looked down and started walking away as she answered so softly I couldn’t understand what she said.  I followed her to her seat where she sat down with another young girl. I looked at the other young girl as she peered at me very sternly, as if to hate that I was there, as if I proposed some kind of threat, but she didn’t even know me.

I began questioning her again, “I’m serious.  Let me give you my phone number.  I would really like meet you and talk to you about this.”  She thought for a second, yielded to the other girl, looked back at me and said “No.”  So, I moved on, but I want you to know that Satan is working overtime to get to your children and grandchildren.  The normalization of witchcraft through Hollywood (movies, cartoons, etc.) and the publishing industry (novels, children’s books, etc. Just go into any Barnes & Noble and look around) has given troubled – or not even troubled – youth hope of being important in a world where they feel left-out.  It also meets the curiosity of the supernatural world; unfortunately, yielding to this curiosity will eventually bind them to demonic entities and ultimately destroy their lives.  The modern Western Church – for the most part – is neither teaching against, nor is it talking about the problem of witchcraft so frequently spoken of in the Bible (just do a word search).  Also, most of the churches I am familiar with do not move in the Spirit supernaturally.  The spiritual gifts are taught as dead or ignored, leaving a huge gap for our children; so they go and get a real supernatural experience somewhere Satan is waiting to fulfill their curiosity and make them feel powerful.  Your children are being marketed by an evil you don’t understand.  Be on guard for your children, those of you willing to listen.
