I chose this picture to illustrate the connection between Python and the Nachash in the Garden of Eden. I believe this being to be one of a string of the same person, reinventing itself culturally and historically. Even the Mythological history of Apollo slaying this dragon is only allegory, in that, Apollo assumes the identity of Python in a “rebirth” or “reincarnation” situation to mimic that of Christ’s resurrection. Whether I’m right or wrong here is of no consequence. The history of this character, throughout antiquity, up until our modern culture is difficult to refute, but even more difficult to prove.
Python is a portion of a long, convoluted history of clandestine, occult narrative. The history of this personality can be seen below in the Chronological Association throughout Antiquity. Python was the guardian of Omphalos of Delphi at the center of earth. He is compared to the Kundalini spirit. The spirit attacks the prophetic, the apostolic, and the authentic move of God (Ex. See below Acts 16). This demon distracts people from praying and getting into God’s presence. It mimics the Holy Spirit. That’s right, Python can give messages which seem to be from God, but with the intention to deceive because Python’s desire is to kill, steal, and destroy. In The Bible, the Old Testament declares that if there’s a man or woman found with the spirit of Python/Divination (Hebrew), they shall certainly be put to death. In the New Testament, Paul casts Python/Divination (Greek) out of a slave girl who is able to tell the future by supernatural means.
