Asmodeus is the three headed demon mostly known from the deuterocanonical Book of Tobit.  Asmodeus or Asmodee are the same and he is a Prince of Demons, Lord of Lasciviousness and carnal desires, and ruler over the second circle of hell.  According to the Testament of Solomon, not wanting to subject himself to Solomon, ragefully claimed himself to be born of an angel’s seed, by the daughter of man, so that no word of our heavenly kind addressed to the earth-borne can be overweening (excessive confidence or pride).  Asmodeus plots against the newly wed, so they may not know one another (not be intimate?).  He severs them utterly by many calamities, and wastes away the beauty of virgin women, and estrange their hearts.  He transports men into fits of madness and desire, when they have wives of their own, so they leave them and go off to others who belong to other men; the result, they commit sin and fall into murderous deeds.
